Post by kartik » Mon Aug 05, 2013 5:22 pm

Hi,
Are the floor boards in p3 1948 cars wooden or metal ?
I am confused because in my P3 under restoration the floor is all metal,
I would be very grateful if someone could please please upload some pictures
Of the p3 floor .

Thanks

hi,

I have 2 P3 Sports Saloon (1948 RHD and 1949 LHD).
Under the front seats is a metal construction. All floor panels are plywood : 2 pieces in front and 2 pieces rear.

due to a house move, I have to relocate some spare parts, which happened last days.
So, here some pictures of the floor boards of a P3 Sports Saloon (1949).
I also took a look at the parts list : there is no difference between floor for a Saloon or a Sports Saloon.
Thickness = 8 mm (0.8 cm).

there is a part in the front floors that can flip over : = acess to the jack-up points.

Do you still have the metal floor sections in the base of the body, where the front seats are mounted ?
As the floor consists of a front wooden section, metal seat base section and then the rear wooden section.
Would you like some measurements for the various floor sections ?
