Reavell Special now at Gaydon

Post by David2021 » Thu Dec 22, 2022 12:46 pm

I was at the Motor Museum at Gaydon the other day and they have just had in an interesting new exhibit. This is a Rover12 special "The Reavell Special" It is based on a 1935 12 shortened chassis, with a "tuned" 12hp engine and a two seater Abbott body...apparently it as done over 150000 miles & featured in the Autocar in 1952! There are various links/pictures to be found on Google etc...perhaps someone can transfer them to here (beyond my pay grade/ability!)

The car is very well known, and well worth a visit to Gaydon.

That sounds like a fascinating exhibit! The "Reavell Special" must be a real gem for vintage car enthusiasts. It's incredible to think that it has clocked over 150,000 miles and even featured in Autocar back in 1952. I'll definitely look up more information and pictures online. If I find anything interesting, I'll be sure to share it here!
