New to forum

Post by Bills100 » Sun Jun 09, 2019 4:16 am

Hi all
First time on a Rover forum but been on a few others in the past. Found them to be very helpful and a great resource. Inherited a 1961 100 From my grandfather in the 80’s which I sold and incredibly bought the car back just two years ago. I stumble across the ad and had it shipped across Australia from Melbourne to Perth. The car was untouched still with the old rego sticker. Fortunately all the books, receipts, manuals everything that was with the car when I sold it came with it.
I have started the restoration process now this is my favourite car that I have owned for probably sentimental reasons but just love working on it. Some very clever engineering and so different to American cars in that respect.

Look forward to being part of forum hope I can contribute as much as I learn.
Terry

Whoops! Welcome to the forum. How unusual to re-purchase a car in those circumstances. How is the restoration process going.

It’s all good. Just seeing if anyone home.

as you would appreciate a slow process. Mechanically totally rebuilt brakes, gearbox, engine. So everything else now.
Just trying to work out a rattle and shimmy front suspension rubbers gone so might have to take off the road for a few months and rebuild front end. Thinking a 2 year project from here. Just watching the dollars...already spent more than it’s worth which is probably the usual.
Thanks
For your reply..will keep posting as I’m probably going to need advice on things as I go.
