Hello to all RSR members. I have just joined the Forum and will need help and advice to restore my fathers (now mine)1939 14 P2 Sports saloon.
This car although roadworthy has had a few dubious repairs in the past and is in need of some TLC.
Can anyone recommend where i can get new sills put on as the old ones do not allow the door bottoms to line up 3/4'' gap.
Local suppliers of tyres 5.25 / 5.50 - 17.
And lastly what modern equivalent oil do i use to top up the shock absorbers as the manual says Armstrong super shock absorber oil.

Welcome to the forum, great car, Longstone Tyres of Bawtry Doncaster can supply tyres, they sometimes advertise on eBay.

You can get replacement sills from Mike Evans @ Viking Engineering Developments, Leeds

He is also currently making replacement running boards if you need them.

Nort Hants tyres who are in Aldershot will give Rover Sports Register members a 10% discount. The correct oil these days is Penrite shock absober oil no 2 or heavy SAE 20 fork oil.

Thanks Chris. I actually have the sills just need someone to put them on with everything lined up. John
