Just a reminder that the RSR has two librarians who hold archive information related to Rovers. We are both able to offer a service to members who require copies of information from the archives. We have a breadth of info including workshop and parts manuals, adverts and Rover company Service Bulletins amongst many other things. We are also always interested in obtaining more archive material to further the clubs collection.
Contact details for both librarians are published in the front of Freewheel - please do not hesitate to contact us if you require information from the archives or have something which you feel may be a suitable addition to the collection.

Hi there,Can you assist me with a workshop manual for the 1935 Rover Ten?
My other request is whether I can hire from you or fellow members a REAR HUb PULLER,I suspect that the 10,12 and 14 use the same hub.

Hoping for some good news, regards from New Zealand,Barrie Morgan.

Hello,

Workshop Manual and Parts List are available for your car from The RSR. The Manual covers P1-P2 Models from 1934-47 and is a very comprehensive edition.

I keep a private archive of all 1935 year model 10hps, would you be prepared to give me a few details of your car ? I have two 1935 10s, one undergoing a comprehensive rebuild and a ' barn find ' which is totally original, never been restored. If you need any help with your car I can be contacted by email.

I used a three legged puller for my rear axle, also modified the rear seal housings to accept a modern lipped seal, details are in the Manual.

Paul,
I am looking at a 1946 14 Sport, that to say is sad is much an overstatement. The serial number, 6330027, matches Body to Chassis.

Looking beneath, the car seems to have had some work started but never progressed. I was told some £20K was spent on it, but that would appear to be only on red oxide paint, and two running boards!

I was told there is an engine and gearbox but I have to hunt through a van load of parts! It is just a chassis main body and grill at this time.
As you may understand I need some help. First I have to determine if this is a complete (kit!) Car, then asses the value in returning it to original if not better condition. Serial numbers between chassis and body look the same.

I really need an exploded view of what is expected to part and parcel of the car, even a parts list, some idea of trim and colour schemes, and above all an approximate value. In other words is the vehicle worth the time and expense, or is it a donor car?

Any guidance would be gratefully received.

Yes that article was very useful, thank you. Do you know if there is a hard copy or can I (am I allowed) to print it?

Hello Chuck,
Sorry for not replying more quickly.
As is mentioned earlier in the thread the club has parts lists and workshop manuals available which can be ordered through the club website.
The numbers you quote seem to line up OK as a 1946 14 Sports Saloon.
Values are always very difficult to assess as they completely depend on the condition of the vehicle and ultimately what someone is prepared to pay. Whether is it financially viable will probably be determined by how much work you are able to do yourself (and whether you put a value on the hours you spend doing it) and how much you have to spend on having work done.
If you are able to share some pictures which give a better idea of condition it may be possible to give a better view on viability.
Regards
Paul
