Open the sunroof a bit, remove the single central chromed-head screw securing the locking handle to the transverse Rexine-covered bar and carefully remove the handle. Sometimes the handle is stuck on the shaft so jiggle it about a bit while pulling downwards. Then remove the 2 rows of small short screws securing the bar to the sliding section of the roof. Raise the front end of the sliding roof to clear the metal roof and pull it slowly towards the front of the car. It will slide right out on its felt-lined,( hopefully) greased runners which are mounted on short, spring-steel arms.
To remove the fixed roof section to the rear of the car, the headlining has to come down.
