My Rover P3

Post by Ron Taylor » Sat Oct 04, 2008 10:11 pm

Hello All,
Once I figure out how to insert a photo of my car onto here I shall let everyone see it. In the meantime the colour was green until a wedding hire company, who had it before me, sprayed it ivory over black. It's not a bad job, though the front seats need re leathering. I had a quote from a place in Newcastle to do the seats that made my eyes water. The car, HAC 36 has been in the RSR before. It has had a lot of restoration done on it so I'll just carry on tweaking here and there.
Ron.

Welcome to ther forum Ron. There seems to be plenty P3s south of Hadrians Wall. I saw my first P3 in Scotland only 2 years ago

Hello again all,
Thanks to Rover16man I have managed to insert a picture of my P3. It's a Light 6 which I forgot to mention. There are not many P3's south of Hadrians Wall. I met a chap at Beamish last week who has one He's a canny Scot. Must be a hole in the wall. he lives in Newcastle as well. I was at a gathering in Darlington today and met another chap who is restoring one. No doubt there are more hidden up here.

Hi Ron,
There are at least a couple of P3's over here in Cumbria. I have a 1948 4 light and Stewart who runs the Lakes Rally has a 1949 6 light. Good to hear of one or two more coming out of the woodwork.
Regards
Paul
