We received an enquiry requesting information on a green Rover 12 circa 1936 FLY33 which used to belong to Nick Thursfield's father. His message reads
"I'm looking to know if my grandfathers / fathers green Rover 12 circa 1936 with reg number "FLY 33" is still in one piece?
If any of your members know if it's whereabouts, could they contact me. Thank you. My tel Number is : +44 (0) 1553 674115 email NickThurs@aol.com"
The RSR database has no record, but we know that FLY33 is currently on a 1996 Bmw 323i (Coupe). I can't tell when the number was transferred off the Rover and onto the BMW, but the Rover was in an MOTable state at some stage for the number transfer to go ahead. Nick has been asked for any other numbers relating to the car, specifically chassis number, that may help.
Does anyone recall this car?
Mike Maher
FLY33 where are you?
