Hello all, I am currently recommissioning my 1947 Rover 14 P2, which has been stationary for 15 years. I am now ready to commence work on the running gear, i.e. suspension, wheels, brakes tyres, my aim it to make the vehicle as useable as possible.
With respect to tyres, I intend to change all the tyres, as the car as been sitting on them, unmoved, for fifteen years and I am investigating changing to radials, to improve handling / safety etc. I viewed previous posts from 2018/2021. I would appreciate the views of others with regards to their experiences of changing over to radials on the 14/P2 and if any particular tyres are recommended. I would like to, as far as possible like to retain the profile of the car.
Also I would like to upgrade the performance of the Girling rod brake system by using the best of "modern" materials for the brake linings and would appreciate any recommendations please.
Thanks for the help and regards
Dave
