Re: Powder Coated Wheels
I would suggest that this is a good idea to ease the paint around the wheel stud holes and maybe coat with a rust proofing agent. I personally prefer stove enamelling to powder coating, the same with chassis, or two pack paint.

Re: Chroming
I have a set of four rechromed hub caps with screws in perfect condition, the scripts are deep and not polished out. I am asking £200 plus p&p, I was about to put them on ebay. Chris

Re: Timewarp 10hp car due to be auctioned.
I would be very interested also in knowing the details for my ' archive '. Only item in dispute is the 1936 Bakelite ignition lead cover, the '35s had an aluminium one. Also this is only the second car I have seen with the luvax tag fitted to the first junction down from the pump. My Denzel is the o...

Re: fuel gauge repair
That's a telegauge, fitted to MG J4s 1933. There is a gauge restorer in Eire that should be able to repair it for you, he is making a pair my MG J2 Competition Model, let me know if that's a plan and I will send details.

Re: water pump rebuild.
Also the 1934-35 water pump is different from the 1936-37 type. The earlier pump is non luvax and is lubricated through the front spindle grease nipple, the later pump is luvax lubricated. The earlier pumps were often replaced with the later pumps, probably due to the supplies running out, instead o...

Re: Air in the fuel line
I have replaced the valves and the guides on my 10s, exactly as Luli described with bronze guides and hardened valves, makes a big difference to the running. Also check the rocker pads for wear and the rocker shaft, makes tappet adjustment very precise when in good condition. Good luck. Chris
