Very pleased to see such progress on the 2-Litre. My Meteor was in a similar bodily state and is now strippd to a bare chassis, pending completion of my garage rebuild.

Just been going through my photos, here are a few more of the 2 litre, project still ongoing!
This is an old picture from the 90's before it was wrecked in Barbados!
This is the car on its return to the UK

New pattern ash frames being trial fitted
I am sure this bit goes somewhere
The car body is now complete and in primer, must get the camera out.

Have just acquired one of these, far worse than yours, no body, engine incomplete and some rot in the chassis. However, they are so rare that it had to be rescued for eventual restoration by someone.
One request for help - the bulkhead is not the original being the wrong shape, too narrow. Also, the holes which should be for the control box and other things so mounted are not there. Did you by any chance make a drawing/pattern of your bulkhead so I can cut a replacement. I know it should be faced in aluminium, a practice Rover only did for a few years (the preceding 16/50 does not have this, neither does my 1932 Meteor).
The dashboard did survive, the instruments (missing) being set directly in the woodwork, two small ones in the centre side by side with the ammeter? and ignition switch? in a vertical line above. I assume this is the same for your car, none of the photos show.
The state of your body is about the same as my Meteor (and streamline coupe) but I wont be attempting to recreate a saloon body, but one of the open style that were available on the 2-litre chassis.

Just noted your request for a luggage rack. Think I've got a spare if you're still short.
Could do with a replacement chassis should you know of one!

yes still need the luggage rack so if you have one It would be greatly appreciated. Haven't got a spare chassis unfortunately but can give dimensions if possible. I also have the firewall for pattern when you require it

Are you still wanting a luggage rack? Although the one I previously offered you was too small, I think many of the parts of it are right, it just needs longer ' bars'.
I've now made a start on my 2-litre, though a better chassis frame would be nice. I also need a cut out like yours.

Hi fellow rover restores.It is great to see the work that has been going on with your cars.I have a 1929 Rover wayham saloon,that I have been working on now for a number off years.The work has been slow,but it is moving ahead slowly,All the wood work is done now,the back mudgaurds and front gaurds are all done..
I have an origanal lugage rack,if any one needs a pattern..All the best Cheers Gerry.Best (New Zealand)

Just been going over the pictures in this post as Photobucket has decided to get awkward about hosting images so I have moved them all. It has been some time since I reported on the project and in truth I haven't been able to do much to the car. To summarise the body work is complete and hopefully in the new year (2018) should be able to concentrate on the mechanicals. I intent to drag it out of the corner of the garage soon so will try to get some new pictures.
