1934 Rover 12 Chrome plating
1934 Rover 12 Chrome plating
My usual chromer wa away ill,so I thought I would try another one, which had good reviews .They were excellent, also the two headlamp shells ,were £50 cheaper than my usual chromers, costing £110 for the pair. This was copper plating, nickle plating and then chrome plating. This is the ultimate, they should be copper plated ,as this makes the plating last for years. Some don`t copper plate to keep the price down, but its false economy. They were also quicker in turn around The chromers were,Chrome Fix Birmingham .Highly recommend them

Re: 1934 Rover 12 Chrome plating
Morning, does any one know where I can buy two headlight securing levers as shown in the photo.I stored everything away when stripping the car for restoration, but I cannot find these and I`m certain they weren`t on the lamps,or I would have remembered removing them for chroming two weeks ago I`m just about to tidy the wiring up ,before fitting the lamps and they`re not there

Re: 1934 Rover 12 Chrome plating
Hello I can`t see me finding the securing clips for the headlights ,so I`ve modified them .I drilled a hole in the shell and after soldering a 4mm nut onto a plate I have to fix it with Araldite where it is now and Iv`e ordered a couple of 4mm bolts with a knurled head which should look fine. I can then fit the headlights, and see how they look, with plated reflectors and rechromed shells getting there slowly Len
