Like many P2's my doors have an excessive gap around the lower part of the doors. I have no draught seal on mine and am trying to source some and am wondering whether the Tickford model is different to the rest in this? I have found the attached profile at Vintage Spares https://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/m/pro ... rofile.jpg
but am puzzled by the fixing- there is a slot which is apparently supposed to fix over a standing seam around the door frame which I cant find. I wonder why the fixing slot is in the fabric covered section as that means the fabric will be hidden and the rubber section exposed- surely the wrong way round?
Things are confused by the only existing section of seal at windsceen level which just shows as a complete fabric covered round profile with presumably a rubber tail trapped under the screen trim
Perhaps a Tickford owner would post a picture to help? Or point me in the right direction

Re: P2 Tickford door draught seal
Well the replacement draught strip arrived as the previously illustrated and there is no way that it can be fitted on the Tickford DHC as far as I can see. That strip is designed to fit over a raised metal seam and I have none on my car.
The existing piece of draught strip is a plush covered roll (about the same size as that illustration) with a wide fabrid tail which is fixed behind the cover plate etc. Does anyone recognise this or know where I can find such a profile? I dont even know if this is original but it looks it.

Looks like ordinary 'Furflex' to me. Also used around the windscreen on later P2s at least.

Ordinary Furflex is around the screen of our 1939 P2 and works well too. Furflex is merely Furtex (ie Plush) covered hollow rubber tube
