fuel gauge repair

Post by mike797 » Wed Jun 24, 2015 8:38 am

Hi All
I have a late 1920's fuel gauge that requires repair. It is, should say was, liquid filled and oval in shape with glass tube display. Can anyone recommend a company that can repair this gauge and secondly remind me what this type of gauge is called. If you have one in good order for sale I would be interested in buying it.

Thanks, mike

Might be a Hobson Telegauge, can you post a picture?

That's a telegauge, fitted to MG J4s 1933. There is a gauge restorer in Eire that should be able to repair it for you, he is making a pair my MG J2 Competition Model, let me know if that's a plan and I will send details.
1934 ( 1935 model ) P1 '10' Saloon RD 6160
1935 P1 '10' Saloon ( originally JB 6729 ) now VSJ 156
1946 P2 '14' Sports Saloon KPG 855
1933 MG J2 Cycle Wing Model APB 560
1933 MG J2 Competition Model ALX 124
