Post by MikeB » Tue Feb 17, 2015 6:42 am

Hi

Anybody out there got a set of wire wheels for a P2 1939 ??

Also If I can find a odd one here and there, what am I looking for as regards hub size, fixings etc.

Any help would be appreciated

I have four 1935 type wire wheels that will need restoration. Last resort. Cheers

Hi Chris

Thanks for the reply, I would be interested in them, although would these not be the 18'' wheels rather than the 17'' wheels I have on mine ?
Can they be made to fit ?

Thanks

Mike

Yes they are 18" , I am not sure if they would fit, I am happy to give you dimensions if that would help. Maybe someone has tried already for fitting 18" to 17", is there room under the wings ?

Chris thanks for replying, I seem to remember an article somewhere, maybe, on this forum, about fitting 18'' wheels to a 17'' wheeled car, however this would mean changing all the tyres sizes also, a tad expensive I would think, thanks for the offer however I will keep searching for the correct size

Thanks

Mike
