How did it go? Did you get a decent turnout?

I'm surprised that no-one has said anything either here or on the Yahoo group.

Hi Richard,

I suppose it depends on what you are looking for and expecting but, personally speaking, I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend despite pulling the trailer with the 16/50 for over 600 miles. I didn't count the cars but Mike Maher was saying on the Yahoo group that we had about 80 cars. Oldest was Kent Robinson's 1904 8hp which he even took on the Saturday road run, with a good mixture of models right up to 800 series cars. There were quite a few cars that I don't get to see up here in the far North (of England) and plenty of friends both recent and of longer standing. Haynes museum was very good, though not many Rovers but it did include one of the two SD1 estate cars. The road run of around 70 miles toured parts of Somerset I had never seen before and others I had not seen for many years with some stunning views. The only slight blight on the weekend was the weather; it started to pour just as the trophies were handed out and stopped just after the last raffle prize. We took quite a few photographs and I will post some on the forum when I gat a spare ten minutes, pr0bably over the weekend.

Regards

I thought that the weather might have put a bit of a dampener on it - glad to hear that it went well.

As promised, here are some photographs from the National. I have to admit there were more modern cars than it would appear but I did not take the pictures and cannot be held responsible for what caught the photographer's eye. Any complaints should be directed to my wife!

Looked a good event, wish I had gone now.

I had entered but thought the weather was going to be worse than it actually was.

It was a very good turn out and apart from the down pour at the end the weather held, here are a few pics I took with the phone.

I meant to post these ages ago, there are about 50 pictures http://s462.photobucket.com/albums/qq34 ... mview=grid too many to post up, mainly class winners.
