Hi I'm Bill Robertson.......from Oshawa Ontario Canada...........I have a 1948 Rover 75 P3, a 1969 Rover 2000TC, and a 1971 Rover NADA 3500S...........As coincidence would have, i a bought a P3 years back and found out about Patrick Hiron's P3...........Patrick is about 3 hours from me.........Patrick has sold his P3 and has since bought a 3500S....in Black...........same as mine......LOL...........I just rebuilt the engine in my 3500S using 3.9 heads etc and am presently working on the brake system which has failed on me...otherwise the car in near mint shape albeit having been repainted back in 95 from red to black..........I drive my 2000TC regularly in the summer........It being my favourite car....a very solid car with the only rust being a small hole in the trunk(normal for these cars LOL).........The P3 is currently in storage as the engine has lost power and will need attention when i get time.........Up until the motor went south i enjoyed driving it around town etc.......Highway driving is not really a safe option to me............I owned many RoverP6's in the 70's and my brother bought me the 2000TC with a seized engine for Xmas many years back to get me back into them...........
I thoroughly enjoy driving and conversing about Rovers

Hi Bill,

I am glad to know who ended up with Patrick's P3. I loved the color combination so much that I recently painted my P3 in similar colors.
I would enjoy corospondance with you. I am not to far from you in Mass. USA. Check out http://www.roveramerica.com" target="_blank and my email is cars@roveramerica.com" target="_blank

Hi Dirk........

No you misunderstood...........i didn't buy Patrick's P3.........I had my own which is a 4 light and and found Patrick out while he was restoring his......I just found it ironic that when i found out about Patricks which was relatively close to me and now he has bought a 3500S like mine and ours are both black.....A chap on the other side of Toronto bought Patricks P3(a 6 lighter) about 1 hour from me

Hi Bill,

Sorry I reread your post and I did mis-read it. However I am glad to know that you have a P3 and that you are relativly close. Once you get your engine straight you should consider changeing your diff to a 3.9 or 3.54 ratio. This will give you near highway speeds and even make 1st gear useful. A diff from a early Range Rover or a P5 MK2 will bolt right in to the axle and with 13/16 thick spacer between the drive shaft you will be ready to go.

Please post some pictures when you have the time.
