Carburretor flooding on SU sloper carb

I have a 1923 Rover Clegg 12hp Tourer which floods petrol from the carburretor body and would like any information as to what may be wrong and how to set up such a carb.

Hello Bill,
Is the Clegg you have the former Bernard Gee car? I was lucky to have had time at the NEC several years ago to see the car and meet Bernard.
