I have now found no. 9,

Owner Mr. Derek Field from Hampshire ( RSR member. ) Chassis no. 501198 which makes this the earliest chassis number of those remaining. Currently under restoration I believe.

Hi Chris

Makes interesting reading and I can advise the car owned by Mr B McCormick is chassis no. 502097 and Reg No AHN 674.

Meantime I have analysed the 1935 10 models as per the RSR archive database and we have details of approx 30 cars, including the ones you have mentioned and 3 with overseas members.

The owners of these cars are not all current members, some were members back in the 1970's and 1980's , and from the info on the database herewith is a rough breakdown of their numbers:-
12/14 are probably in various degrees of roadworthiness.
10 or so are in various states of restoration.
The present condition/existence of some 6 or so is unknown.

FYG these figures are based on info given by owners at the time of joining or annual renewal, and I would not be surprised to find a few more cars out there that have never been in the RSR.

Thanks Andrew,

It would appear that I have some way to go ! My intention is to create an archive within the RSR that the owners could access information, enabling them with specific items relating to this particular year model could access. Particularily with information on original fittings, restoration and general day to day issues. I have had many calls from other owners, and I have been able to help with their queries, especially with photographs from ' Denzel ' which is totally original and unrestored having spent most of its life in a barn in Scotland. The car still has its complete interior intact...albeit very motheaten, but still enough is there to see how the car was built and finished the day it was completed. I also get enquiries from other years and model owners, as many of the features are common.

I have put articles in Freewheel, but the responce was minimal...mostly the people on my list were from owners currently in the RSR membership list. Chris
