An advert using a Rover 10 p2 1940 on the Pre-War cars internet selling site is a scam, I have had an enthusiast contact me who has been cheated out of his deposit. The car is distinctive in being white, with black wings bonnet and roof, Registration number is KMC 391.

Is this car current ? If so does the owner know that it is being used by a scammer. The Police and Fraud Action people have been informed.

Def something odd with this as FYG according to the RSR archive database the registration No KMC 391 belongs/belonged to a 1939 Rover 14 saloon owned by a member back in the 1970's early 80's who lived in Blackburn it was blue with Blue interior.

It then came back to the RSR in 1985 with a member residing in Wisconsin USA, nothing further since then.

Unfortunately this new prospective owner did not wait for my ok. I spotted almost straight away that the car looked too good for £2500. A tip I use is to ask for a photograph of an obscure item, like a corkscrew to be placed on the bonnet, that at least proves there is a car ! Paying a deposit for an unseen car was a little nieve, question of heart ruling ones head.

I will find him a car, just needs to wait. Police told the purchaser that the computer IP address in from Portugal.
