Any RSR History for JT 9678?

Post by Minty » Wed Mar 23, 2016 10:16 pm

Hi guys,

I've just purchased my 1938 Model, Rover P2 '12' Saloon - Reg No: JT 9678 / Engine & Body No's: 811794 - I wondered if any of you fine people knew whether she had ever appeared in the registers records before???

I have her full history from: 10th Nov '59 to date, (ie: Major James Dermot Harris, of Stalbridge, Dorset) but know very little about her prior to then - other than, that she was registered in Dorchester, on the 29th July 1938...

If anyone knows anything else about her, I'd love to hear from you! 8-)

Kind Regards,

Guy.

Hello there again Guy

Your new acquisition has not been in the RSR with a previous owner, however I did spot that it was for sale at Richard Edmonds Auction in Worcester a couple of weeks ago, were you the successful bidder??? I have now entered it on the database under your ownership but would appreciate your surname to complete the details.

Hello Andrew,

Before reading your reply to this thread, I sent you a PM asking for any known history - Sorry!

However, in the PM I also added as much of the cars known history as I have - Eg: Supplying Rover Dealership when new, (E Childs & Son's - Sherborne) registration & delivery dates, service dates etc - right up to late 2014...however, the one really important piece of information I don't have is the original owners name!!!

Re: The Auction - No, I didn't buy her at auction mate...I bought her via a classified-ad on the Car&Classic.co.uk website from the step-son of the 1959-2014 owner - Major J D. Harris.

If you'd like any further info, drop me a PM or email to: guys1943dodge@hotmail.com and I'll give you everything else I have...

Kind Regards,

Guy Muller. (Mem No: 11908)
