Information on Rover 12 P2 reg no. CKF 841
Information on Rover 12 P2 reg no. CKF 841
I am researching cars that were owned by my late father, Harold (Bill) Taylor. He owned a Rover 12 P2 reg no. CKF 841 in August 1951. I don't know when he bought it or how long he had the car. He lived in Liverpool. I would be grateful for any help in finding out if the car still exists or is on a register. I'm also keen to take a look at one that is owned by an enthusiast. I live in Ascot, Berkshire. Photo of the car can be supplied. Belinda

Welcome Belinda, Hopefully Andrew McGovern the RSR archivist will see this thread and be able to help you
From my digging around the internet the registration number is not assigned to any vehicle so the Rover is either not on the road and could be dry stored somewhere or it no longer exists

Hello there Belinda
I am only today reading your message and on checking the RSR archive database unfortunately we have no records regarding your fathers car.
Out of interest the CKF registration was issued by the Liverpool licensing authority from Jan to April 1937, unfortunately I believe their offices suffered severe bombing during the war so they may not have any records, but it might be worth checking as some licensing authorities can be quite helpful in this respect.
We do have 2 members living in Berkshire with Rover 12's but under the data protection act we are not able to divulge their details. However if you let me have your contact details in a PM I will pass them on and ask the members to contact you.
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
Kind regards
