Missing owner of a P4

Post by 47p2 » Thu Jan 29, 2009 9:41 pm

I have recieved a request to find a missing owner of the following vehicle.

If the owner does not come forward the vehicle is going to be left outside in the elements and it would be a shame to let this happen.

So what do I know.....

1960 Rover 100 Registration number WWO 892 Grey over green.

Last known details of Owner as follows.

Was living in Thirsk area North Yorks.
Contacted "********************" (I have left this blank so that no scammers try to go off with the car
Asked for car to be collected and apraised for re-commissioning, as was moving house.
Car to be stored whilst garage was being built at new house.

This car has now been in a barn about 10 miles from York for almost 2 years.

Should the owner be found, then before the car is release, the owner will need to give full details as proof of ownership , as well as providing other proof such as V5, purchase receipts etc.

If anyone can help reunite this car with its owner then please pm me

Thanks

There is a record of this vehicle at DVLA, (see http://www.taxdisc.direct.gov.uk" target="_blank) so maybe the best method would be to try to contact the owner through DVLA?

The DVLA won't give out owners details.

I have suggested to the person dealing with it to contact the police to see if they can help

As you are aware I know the person who came to you in the first instance, and it was whilst visiting his barn near York back in Feb I saw the car and then asked about it, he then said he had been in contact with you about it's previous owner.

Anyway on this occation it was out in the open but i don't think it is normally, it was looking quite sad partially covered in a tarpuling.

I did post this last night but had second thoughts.

Anyway here is the car in question.

I seem to remember it had rotten sills but other than that it was in reasonable condition considering how it was being stored.

Sorry not the best of photo's but it's the only one I have

It doesn't look too bad, certainly worth saving
