Does anyone have a picture of the Vacuum Advance Mechanism components on the 1949 Rover P3 distributor.

Would that be a Rover 60 or a Rover 75? 4 cylinder cars (Rover 60) use part 261489 - same as Series 1 Land Rover

The P3 75 vacuum advance is Lucas part 424625 according to the Lucas distributor cataolgue. If you are looking to obtain one, can I suggest the distributor doctor in the UK?

Hope this helps
Best regards

I have the parts for the mechanism but I am not sure how they go together.
I am after a picture or exploded view of these parts as they would be if you could see inside the barrel of the distributor.
There is a heavy spring, a light spring, one hollow piece of brass, one solid piece of brass, a thumb screw assembly and the diaphragm.
There were also five washers under the large nut which screws into the Diaphragm Housing but I don't think they were supposed to be there.
The Distributor Doctor said he doesn't have a picture.
I hope this makes sense.

I have the RSR Manual but I can only find the exploded view of the distributor on Page J4.
This does not show the detail of the parts I mentioned previously.
Please let me know the page number if I have missed the exploded view you are referring to.
