I own Rover 10hp 1934 ( 35 model ) RD 6160...started its life in Reading, Berkshire.

Chris please give me more details as to the connection with 1936 12 saloon reg No RD 8581
for which I am trying to find the history of this car.

There is a strong possibility that your car was sold by T. Baker & Sons, 35 & 36 Friar Street, Reading, who were the main Rover agents, RD being the code for Reading.
I spoke in the 1960s with the 90 year old ex manager of Bakers( in the 1930s ) and he mentioned that Bakers were the only local Rover agent, your car registration is only a couple of hundred registrations after my Snowdrops. Sorry can't help any more. Chris
