Thanks Luli, I have made a note of the info'. I am going to collect the gearbox within the next couple of days and hopefully get things moving The whole business has turned into a nightmare.
Best Wishes,
Geoff.

The Rover P2 gearbox is very similar to that of the Series Land Rovers. If you can find a specialist for one of these (and there are plenty about) I'm sure that they would be confident to work on the P2. They are a very straightforward gearbox to work on and all the bearings and seals are available and there are plenty of other parts around in the unlikely event that they are needed.
Have a look at this company based in Stourbridge, they advertise LR series gearbox repairs and classic cars as well. This is not a recommendation though as I have never had any dealings with them, but it isn't too far from Liverpool. https://www.whitehousegearboxes.co.uk/
Good luck
Richard

Richard, thank you for the help regarding a specialist who will tackle my Rover Gearbox. This is exactly what I am looking for. It is a great reassurance that parts are available if needed, I was very concerned about the potential lack of availability of parts.
Very Best Wishes,
Geoff.
