Which model is this?
Which model is this?
Hi All
These photos show my Grandfathers Rover P2 FLW 485. The shot with the two people getting in (they are my uncle and his wife on their wedding day) was taken in 1955. The other shot (taken on the IOW ferry, note the overloaded boot!) dates from 1958. I have looked up the reg number and the car was registered in London between Feb and Apr 1939. Can anyone identify what model it is? My Grandfather loved the car and I note it has a central passing light and twin horns (which apparently my Grandfather was very proud of) and a radiator cover. I suppose it would be too much to hope that the car is still around today.

Re: Which model is this?
From the photos, it certainly looks like a P2 Saloon, checking the registration number on a live database,
no information/record is available for that number. Therefore it is not a "live" number.

Re: Which model is this?
Rich,
FLW 485 is a 1939 model 10hp according to our archive. In 1953 and 54 it was in the hands of Albert J Bowring of Headington. It dropped off the radar after that, so its good to see that it was being enjoyed in 1958.
Hope this helps
