				Hi,
Anyone had any experience of fault finding on a jaeger temp gauge? My 1946 10 saloon oil pressure gauge works fine but the temp gauge does not register. Believe both are bowden? I've had no experience with these so not sure where to start with fault finding? apprecaite any help

About 20 years ago I got mine fixed but I cannot remember where and I am not at home to look up my files. You could try Speedograph Richfield, I have used them for speedo and oil pressure gauge repairs and I see at
http://www.speedograph-richfield.com/ht ... gauge.html that they do repair the Smith's type of temperature gauge so they may well be able to fix yours. Got to be worth a phone call.

I do the oil pressure /temp gauges as exchange reconditioned units, and usually have at least one of the several types used on P1/2/3 Rovers in stock.
These are usually not working due to the soldered joint where the pipe enters the bulb in the water pump or thermostat housing being broken when the fixing nut is turned. Great care has to be taken when refitting, otherwise the gauge will need reconditioning for a second time!
