Electrical issue

Post by kevh » Mon Aug 08, 2022 12:44 pm

Hi All,

Finally getting to the back end of my 1935 12 restoration and have a problem. Electrics are not my strong point and I did a quick run through to see if everything was working ok, everything worked as it should until I got to the traficators, the right hand worked fine but the left hand flicked out and I then lost power to the panel which holds the switches for the indicators and traficators and no ignition lights. I have checked the two fuses behind the dash and they are ok but there is no power to them, any suggestions?

I’ve had a similar issue with my classic ride. It turned out to be a loose connection somewhere in the wiring. I’d suggest checking all the connections and the switch for any signs of wear or loose wires. Sometimes, the power issue can be upstream from the fuses, so you might need to trace the wiring to find the break or short.
