Re: A new 1947 6 light 14 found in the USA
My 1947 16hp saloon FUE283 (sold many years ago) was also a RHD export model. I understand export models were finished with better quality control than home models, also I found the body number marked on the back of the bonnet sides. On the subject of export cars, we thought all the 1947 12hp tourer...

Re: 1929 Weyman restoration
Dirk A tremendous amount of work since I saw the car only a few months ago, well done. Wish I worked so efficiently. Noted that the wooden dashboard/ instrument panel is exactly the same as on my recently acquired 2 litre remains, thought to be no 3055, the actual instrument layout seemed to change ...

Streamline coupe body information
As you may have read in Freewheel, I'm starting a full rebuild on a 1935 14hp streamline coupe. Much of the timber frame is missing along with associated steel bracketry. Fortunately a number of photos of other restorations have been uploaded which will be of considerable help, however I am short of...

Just noted your request for a luggage rack. Think I've got a spare if you're still short.
Could do with a replacement chassis should you know of one!

Re: 1940 Rover 20 Tickford Drophead on ebay
Further to my last message, if you search through Chesterrton Coachworks' site you will find a rear view of the car. The bootlid is not fitted, and a sloping storage area has been built into the back of the body. For some reason this does not incorporate the original boot space. The actual body eith...

Re: 1940 Rover 20 Tickford Drophead on ebay
Have now checked Tim Walker and Chesterton Coachworks' web sites. It's now clear that the initial chassis work was done at Tim Walkers, while the painting and some or all of the body construction was done at Chesterton Coachworks. Both have photos, the Chesterton one showing the car in bare metal. I...

Re: Wanted: Old tyres for restoration
I might have a few, although I usually take old tyres to the tip. Let me know if you'd like me to check for 18" ones. Where about are you, I'm in Leeds.

Re: 1940 Rover 20 Tickford Drophead on ebay
Just to add to the history of the car, I've known it since it was in Richard Stenning's possession. I believe his brother found it in London, but was not the previous owner. Richard did not sell it through matrimonial pressure, it was sold long before he got married. It could have been a rented spac...

Re: Tourer Drawing
Chris As I'm sure you know, the 34-6 tourers were built on the short chassis so you will be able to replicate a Rover tourer acurately. I acquired the patterns from when Phoenix restorations, who made a few replicas, packed up, however, there is not a complete set, nor are there any drawings. Howeve...
