Re: VIN number 1935 Rover 12
Thanks. I have the car number and the chassis number so will send them those, the only difference between the two is a prefix letter on the chassis number. Apparently to keep the same original registration DVLA have started insisting on photographic evidence to prove the car is still the same as whe...

VIN number 1935 Rover 12
After sending the V5 to the DVLA they have replied asking for the VIN number and a photograph showing where it is located on the car. There is a plate in the engine bay but that only shows the vehicle number, will it also have a VIN number and if so does anyone know where it will be? I have never be...

Re: And todays question is.......(drum roll)
Tony After being stuck in the office all day it is very theraputic to get into the garage in the evenings, I am sure I won't need to ask so many questions and things will hopefully become a little more obvious once I get the workshop manual. That is exactly what I am doing, removing anything which n...

And todays question is.......(drum roll)
Todays question(s) :?: :?:  The dash in my 1935 12 needs sorting, the centre metal section where the gauges sit needs re-chroming & painting which is simple enough, the wood dash itself has at some time been replaced with stained plywood which looks poor, the shape is good so I can use it as a...

Re: 1935 12 door frames
Thanks for the replies guys. I have been trying without success to find a completed car at one of the shows to see what I should be aiming for, a sort of reference, but thinking about it who is to say any completed ones are to original spec? I am coming to the conclusion that there is no "right" way...

1935 12 door frames
Inside the door reveals, underneath the timber top section(roof), mine has a line of staples running along which look like the were fixing something long departed, like a seal maybe, should there be something there? it can't be the draught excluders as these are fixed to the the inner vertical face,...

Re: 1935 12 which fuel
Thanks Tony, Interesting read, I will need use the additive as I expect my 12 will be high performance when completed and it is best to be safe. I will also bear it in mind if I ever need to construct any kind of a pulley system in the bedroom. There are some things which you know you shouldn't laug...

Re: 1935 12 which fuel
I meant is it ok to use the standard unleaded at my local garage, or is a different grade required for an engine which would have been designed to run on leaded fuel?

1935 12 which fuel
I suppose the question has been asked 1,000 times before but which fuel should I put in my 1935 12, or does it not matter?

Re: New to Rover and forum
The backs of my P1 front seats were so splayed with age that they wouldn’t fit side by side in the car There's a light bulb moment  , the seats look "right" for the car but they are too wide, that will be why. I have just spent the last hour or so sat in the back of the car (I have taken the ...
