Re: Fitting Wiper Arms
I am an accountant still but not for much longer. I try to resist counting costs but when I start to waver I soon realise that the loss of cash through buying new or secondhand "moderns" (some past ones I succumbed to 40 years ago are now considered classic now though) is far in excess of upkeeping ...

Re: Pulling down front end
Forum usage in the UK is dropping fast as Facebook with its easy photo posting and vast audience is much favoured. The posts are transient and completely unstructured so the search is fairly useless. The P4DG Forum was once excellent for usage and there is still a wealth of info on there but now one...

Re: Horn Wiring
Replacing the wiring is a good idea anyway and also using PVC. The newer thin wall cables are stiffer and thinner and will also carry a heavier current. Nevertheless, I would still fit relays for the horn and the main and dip beam as well as fusing. I have heard this cable which is used in all moder...

Re: Luvax-Bijur lubrication system
THe Luvax was disconnected and kaput on our 16 when we bought our P2 in 1996. I was not keen on restoring the system the but I was not happy using grease as the oil lube passages are really far too small to pass any thick grease at all to be effective. I have therefore used Castrol D (now SAE 140) i...

Re: Cooling issues
Good luck - I have invariably found with cooling issues on every type of car for the past 50 years it's the rad in the end even though it may not look like it initially but one still tries to live in the hope it is not!

Re: P2 Tickford door draught seal
Ordinary Furflex is around the screen of our 1939 P2 and works well too. Furflex is merely Furtex (ie Plush) covered hollow rubber tube

EP90 GL4 is best to use as can also be used in the gearbox.

Re: New battery for my 75 P3
Do not bother with premium batteries as if not in regular use they do not last as long as budget ones. I get at least 10+ years
