Hello,

I personally think the club website is quite good! Especially that it is kept up by volunteer efforts.

Re: brake problem

Hello Nicolas, Question, is your P3 a LHD or a RHD? The reason is the LHD cars have a different master cylinder arrangement and works the opposite of a RHD drive car in that you pull the piston out of the master as opposed to pushing it in as with the RHD. If you have a LHD drive car then it is poss...

Re: A new 1947 6 light 14 found in the USA

Hello Andrew, So I got the chassis numbers from the (3) P3s and the 1935 Streamline this evening. They are: RHD 1948 4 light 60 8230058 http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/dirkco/IMG_02561.jpg LHD 1948 4 light 75 L8431085 http://i864.photobucket.com/albums/ab210/dirkco/IMG_02751.jpg LHD 1949 6 ...

Re: A new 1947 6 light 14 found in the USA

Hi Mike, Stewart and friends, Yes, it is RHD car. There were between 7 and 9 LHD drive cars built in 47, 12 and 16s I believe. I do not think there were any 14s though. My understanding is that Rover was asked to experiment with LHD platforms by the government. I have a friend in New York who has a ...

A new 1947 6 light 14 found in the USA

Hello All, I have come upon another early Rover a rather rusty 47 6 light 14. The car has been sitting for many years in Tennessee (USA) and was a home to a range of critters. It appears that someone did a poor restoration at one point in it's life as there is bondo where the wing trim should be. Ho...

Re:Even more images 47 Tourer found in the USA

Hello All, Well I posted photos that I had gotten from the previous owner of the car and now here are the photos from sorting out what I actually ended up with. It truly is a shame that the car was dissembled to such an extent. The previous owner clearly had never restored a car before and just rush...

Re: Differential upgrade

Hello Matthew, I changed my Diff when I restored my 6 light to a later P5 MK 11 and I found that I now have first gear I can use. prior to the change 1st was so low that there was no point. I do cruise on the hi-ways here in the States and do find that I have to down shift on steep inclines and yes,...
