Re: Location of P3 Chassis Number
Hi Vikki, Are you in the UK? If so the club can help reclaim your registration via the V765 scheme, if that is what you want to do. If you have any old documents such as a tax disc and/or a RF50 or VE60 logbook (buff or green fold out log books respectively) that will help. If you let me know (PM if...

Re: A new 1947 6 light 14 found in the USA
Hi Dirk, I'm sure that we can find some wings in the stores although some repairs will probably be needed. Just to add some perspective to the L ad R prefixdiscussion, My 1947 Sports Saloon (GOY189) is chassis number 7430545 in the records, but R7430545 on the chassis plate. According to the records...

Re: A new 1947 6 light 14 found in the USA
Hi Dirk, KKE347 is not known to the club, but the number dates to mid 1947. It looks like a RHD (Home Market car), do you know how it came to be in the US? Luli's pictures relate to a 1947 14 saloon by reference to the serial numbers. However, according to James L Taylor, only 2,325 14 Saloons were ...

Re: Club car badge
Indeed there is. Both badges (the classic badge would suit your car well) can be fixed to the radiator grille using a fitting kit. Alternatively, a badge bar clip can be used to fit either badge to a badge bar. This is a standard horizontal badge bar about 13mm (0.5 inch) diameter. If you want to fi...

Kartik,
I just noticed that the rear lights on GWK451 are Lucas type 464 with an overall red lens (see http://www.rover-forum.thersr.co.uk/vie ... f=9&t=1320)

Re: Re chromed rad surround
I have used Marque restore for chroming and they are good. Things to bear in mind:- Have the shell stripped first then examine it and identify the dings and creases to be removed. (Marque Restore use a tinsmith who is excellent to do this). Then get the repaired shell chromed. The polisher MUST know...

Re: Reversing D-lamps
Maybe I'm being dim ( pun intended!) , but I have always thought that diodes were polarity sensitive, so would an LED bulb work on a positive earth car like a P2?

Re: My other car.
The alternative view is that it is a derivative of the Rover 75, and ZTs are very welcome at RSR events.
