Re: 1949 P3 Restoration help!
Hi All Have received a comprehensive list from my mechanic of what wants doing. I know it's difficult but could any of you estimate how much you would be willing to pay for this work below as my mechanic's estimate has increased by £2500 from what he originally said (he had looked over the car). Thi...

Re: 1949 P3 Restoration help!
Wow Mike - at £3.2K for a complete refit to your car - £3000++ just for headlining seems even more ridiculous!! Lowest estimate for headlining so far is £1000. I've also been quoted £1500 per week for seats & headlining and it'll take 3 weeks work. Can't afford £4500 + materials! Where are these pri...

Thanks for further replies
Particularly P3Steve, many thanks, nice to know there's someone local with an interest in P3s and is there willing to give advice if needed. Much obliged.

Re: 1949 P3 Restoration help!
Thanks for replies guys - I thought £3000++ was a huge amount to pay (obviously wasn't going to go with that trimmer!)
So £800 maximum for headlining. What about re-covering the seats, what's the maximum I should pay for this?

1949 P3 Restoration help!
Hi. Have just bought a 1949 P3, some restoration has been done, it's currently in the garage having solenoid/starter repairs and hopefully nothing untoward will get picked up! The interior is tan seats and doorcards. Headlining has been ripped out and needs replacing. The exterior is grey. What colo...
