Re: Rover 75 keys

Hi Adrian, There is quite a bit of info on this on the Rover 75 / MG ZT club website - I don't understand half the technical lingo but I have copied a bit below - It seems there are three elements needed to get a fully working spare key. 1. the blade needs to be cut to match the locks. 2. the remote...

Re: HMV Radio

Hi I had an HMV fitted to a P4 may years ago - the valve box was fitted to the right hand side of the dash up on the lower shelf that ran across (behind the handbrake), I seem to remember having to carefully cut the hessian type material to gain access - I can't recall how it was held in place thoug...

Re: Hi from Staffordshire

I can only say very smart! - I don't think I will ever get around to adding much to mine or I will never finish my old Rover project!, but would like to fit a set of mudflaps perhaps. I prefer the more modern look of the facelift cars, although I think my own one (Contemporary se spec) does look a b...

Re: Hi from Staffordshire

They are very nice subtle improvements I must say - The running lights look discreet and as if they were original fitments and the shut lines really make a difference. I was quite suprised when I got mine that it didn't have the window closing as standard considering all the other electric goodies t...

Re: Hi from Staffordshire

Welcome Devilish, It's good to see new '75' owners on the forum. I purchased my first one about 4 months ago (Facelift Contemporary V6) and must say it's an absolute pleasure to own and drive. Yours looks in stunning condition - even the bonnet shut looks nice and tight, which seems to be unusual on...

Re: Rover 19??

The radiator grille points to a late 1920's early 30's Rover, but the strange thing is the centre bar - I haven't seen a Rover of this era with this - Cheylesmore Sheet metal co. ltd was also a company Rover used. The body though doesn't look like Rover. Hope you manage to find out for sure - I thin...

Re: Tyres for a 95 P4

Hi Paul and welcome to the club. I’m sure others will be able to answer your question better than me - I had a P4 (105) for many years and I stuck with the crossplies throughout - I ran on 6.40 / 15 (Avons). My main reason was that the radial equivalent wouldn’t fit in the spare wheel tray, although...

Re: Which 75?

Just a quick update and thank you to everyone who replied earlier this year.

I finally bought myself a 75 and took delivery last week. I opted in the end for a 2.5 V6 - It's smoothness won me over!

Thanks again for all your advice and experiences.

Regards

Re: Which 75?

Hi Andrew,
That mpg doesn't sound too bad for a round trip like that.
The belt change certainly sounds an involved job, but I paid approx £500 for a Renault one a couple of years back so I guess it's unfortunately the price we pay these days and that didn't include a pump.

Thanks again

Regards
