10/25 Water Pump
Does anyone have a water pump for a 10/25 on a shelf, or in bits? The cover on mine isn’t going to last too long so I want to fabricate a new cover. I can get all of the external dimensions but need the internal ones so could do with being able to measure one (I guess even a photo will help) as I wo...

Re: 1926 ROver 9/20 steering box info
There are a few things that I would check that may help. Firstly tyre pressure. I’m my 10/25 from memory I think it was stated as approx 28psi all round, I upped this to around 34psi and it made a big difference. Then, lubrication...most early steering boxes of this type ran in heavy oil, over the y...

Re: Rover 10 Special
Mine is a 1929 car. I think they changed the layout in 1930. It’s currently in pieces as whoever rebuilt the engine 10 years ago didn’t fit the circlips correctly in the piston gudgeon pins - the clips have now badly scored the cylinder bores! This is a photo of the engine layout. http://i65.tinypic...

Re: Rover 10 Special
I will have a look. I may have a lid from that type, hopefully it has the needle valve still attached.
I assume your car has a rear mounted fuel tank? My 10/25 has a gravity fed system.

Is it the later type with the glass filter bowl? I may have some parts that could help you.

Re: Speed 14 engine reconditioning
I assume you have tried F W Thornton’s for the pistons? http://www.fwthornton.co.uk I am having similar problems trying to sort out pistons for my Delage, unfortunately I think I will have to get new ones made for around £200 each. (They are 75mm so bigger than the Rover) I have sent your question a...

Re: Speed 14 engine reconditioning
Stefan, There are some very good vintage car engineers in Belgium and Holland. If you are on Facebook, look up and join Le Cyclecariste Belge and ask the question. The guy who runs it has many fine cars and will know people who can carry out the work. If your not on Facebook, let me know and I will ...

Re: Rover 1929 10/25 Sportsman Coupe whereabouts??
Mike,
I would also be grateful if you could put me in touch with the current owner...l also have a 1929 Sportsman's Coupe and it would be good to make contact with other owners...especially as mine is not well at the moment!
Thanks
Colin

1929 10/25 block sleeving
I have discovered the gudgeon pin retainer has failed and put deep grooves in numbers 1 and 4 cylinders that I think is too deep to bore out.
Has anyone re-sleeved one of these blocks? Or has anyone got a good spare?
Thanks
Colin

Re: 1929 Rover 10 Cylinder Head Torque Setting
Hi Stuart, I will have a look to see if there is any information that came with my car. The original owner corresponded with Rover right through to the 50’s and there are various bits of service info Rover sent him, hopefully one on cylinder head torque, (he owned it till the mid 70’s) It makes sens...
