Re: front windows
Bad luck with the parts numbers - not only do all models (ie 10/12, 14 ,16 or 20) have different number for complete gearboxes, each year of all models has different numbers! (Apart from 1940 16 and 20 or 1947 14 and 16 ) You would have to go through the separate components to find which are the sam...

Re: Rover 14 gearbox
Hi Madnik
If your 12 gearbox doesnt work out I have a spare 14/16 gearbox (complete but no clutch) which you might be interested in. Its probably 1947 but identical to the 39 14 as far as I know
Let me know

Re: weather strips
Thanks Dex
Perhaps I can ask other members whether they know the original spec for these seals as my gaps seem far too wide for the normal felt strips I have seen. In my case for a '39 14 DHC

Re: weather strips
As part of my accident repairs I am hoping to fit new weather strips to the door windows. At present there is no weather strip at all, just a couple of felt blocks to guide the glass and the rain just pours into the door void so I would be interested to know which strip you have chosen for yours. Mi...

Re: Reverse Lamp Switch for 12 HP Tourer
Sorry to be more accurate I should have said the reverse light switch is on the side (nearside) of the gearbox remote arm casing rather than the gearbox proper.

Re: Reverse Lamp Switch for 12 HP Tourer
On my 6 Cyl P2 DHC its on the side of the gearbox, I imagine its the same on the 12HP, Accessible from inside the cabin by taking the gearbox cover off.

Re: Help Bodyshop needed
Thanks David and Luli I did wonder whether the diagonal on the tourer was meant to hold the curve to the bottom of the leading edge of the door. To encourage the frame to curve I think that not only would the metal need to be bent but also have a fulcrum behind it to make the wood frame conform also...

Re: Help Bodyshop needed
Thanks for that Luli It is interesting to see the structure of the door exposed although the tourer is a different shape to the DHC. I have never opened mine up but dont think it has the diagonal metal stay and corner plate. Is that original or Tino's repair? Did you have a problem getting the corre...

Re: Help Bodyshop needed
Thanks Tony for your sympathy and your bodyshop suggestions. I have been in touch with both and as I expected Sowerby Ash Framing only does the timber framing in-house but says he has some good contacts who could do the metal and painting etc. The other shop Clanfield Coachbuilding has a lead-in tim...
