Re: New Member August 2015

Hello OldFogey55, The Cyclops in Melbourne has been advertised off and on for quite some time, and no takers. Suggest approach with caution. It might be that the price is putting people off, but there could be other problems. I would suggest contacting/joining the Rover P4 Guild of Australia. They s...

Re: Bringing a 1939 '10 engine back to life

An engine that has sat for a long time without spark plugs is sure to have, at the minimum, a film of rust inside the cylinders. Re: New member Christina Bodén

Congratulations Christina. You have worked out posting photographs, and from what I see, you have a most magnificent car there. I am quite envious! I sincerely hope that you can get it on the road soon and have much enjoyment driving it.

Re: New member Christina Bodén

What an interesting story (and car) Christina. I would love a pre-war Rover, but alas funds would never stretch to one. I do hope that you can solve any problems with such a nice machine, and have much enjoyment from it. I am sure that members here will help with information and advice for you.
Dane.

Re: Outriggers

I must admit that I have not needed to do such a replacement, we have minimal rust problems in Oz, but contact with a P4 parts recycler should provide you with outriggers at a relatively low price. They are, AFAIK a simple bolt on job, but then the bolts could be well rusted and take a while to get ...

Re: A bit of a trip in Australia

The saga is now completed. It is in 8 parts and tells of a 5,500 mile trip in our SD1.

The link in the above message will get you started on it.

A bit of a trip in Australia

My wife and I recently did a trip in our S.E.2 (Aussie Spec SD1) The story is in several parts, and as yet not quite finished. The first part is here- http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/forum/phpbb/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15972 At the end of each part is a link to the next. I hope to have the story compl...
