Richard, thank you for the help regarding a specialist who will tackle my Rover Gearbox. This is exactly what I am looking for. It is a great reassurance that parts are available if needed, I was very concerned about the potential lack of availability of parts.

I had thought about that but decided that a repair job may be the better option as at least I know it is going to be OK once done. A second hand box could be a bit of an expensive unknown quantity. Thanks Luli for the explanation but it is a bit beyond me. Not sure how to use google translate either. At least I now know that the information is out there. I'm hoping someone has had work done on their box and can recommend a garage.
