Trim Information
I have started on the trim on #58 tourer now that the doors fit properly and most things work! I have decided to save everything that I can possible from the original (even the overpainted fabric) . In brief the carpets are totally gone apart from the toe board and the section under the back seat. T...

Re: Hand tools P2 etc
I now have a complete tool tray, thanks to the bay of E! Two are even correctly branded.
This car came with two jacks…one with a handle to wind it up/down,, the other uses the (sloppy fit) wheelbrace
Anyone know which is correct for 1947? I imagine it is the wheelbrace version.

Re: P3 75 floor panel fixing
For what it is worth...My P2 floor screws are all csk1/4 26 BSF x1" or 1.1/4" cone pointed. The many missing dished floor board washers I have made up from " Tile/Roof-nail washers" ! They have a 5mm hole, easily opened up to take the 1/4" screw. Available by weight on e-bay. 225grammes was enough, ...

Re: Hand tools P2 etc
A plug spanner is listed separately, but it does seem logical…however a long tubular plug spanner is not suitable for removing plug no 4 as it catches on stuff on the bulkhead on my car! Ref. Manufacturers, my post isa bit misleading in that Snail etc I think only made/ branded the open end spanners...

Re: Hand tools P2 etc
Sounds logical…
“Someone” will surely know about the tubular one!
I think they were mostly made by Snail, but I think Superslim also were used, but I may be mistaken

Hand tools P2 etc
There is quite a lot of information on this site, but I have a basic question. In the tool list in the workshop manual there are spanners 3/16x1/4 (2705): 5/16x 7/16 (2706) (both open end) and 3/8 single end (2712). There is also a mysterious box spanner (52485) size unspecified! as well a a plug sp...

For what it is worth,my google chrome translates Luli fromHebrew(not Arabic ) into English
The translation is a bit eccentric, but you can get the general sense!

Re: P4 . 75 . 1958 & Twelve P2 Tourer 1948
Welcome to the club! My experience in Germany a couple of years ago in June/July with my 12 tourer (#110) was very good…apart from two flat tyres, which was really my fault (long story involving old inner tubes). I cruised happily at a genuine 60mph on the Autobahnen with a bit of speed in hand. Of ...
