New Exhaust P2 Tourer
Took the green car up to PD Gough in Nottingham to have a new stainless system fitted. They had it ready, although I did not need the downpipe - could not get it off and it was in decent condition. So they made up brackets etc to suit I now have a non leaking & quiet system. They were happy to put t...

Re: Rover 12 tourer ~58 (the green one)
Thanks for the advice Luli…trouble is you understand what you are doing & make it sound so easy!! I don’t know why I’m not just flashing to convert to neg! I suppose I just worry about what else might get upset! Worked well on the ZA with its alternator! But this car is so un-messed about I want to ...

Re: Rover 12 tourer ~58 (the green one)
Thanks for that article. I have a spare warning lamp that I will modify as suggested I’m also looking at fitting a 20amp socket to power a phone etc by using an USB plug or it can be used as a charger socket for keeping the battery topped up ….I use a small solar panel that produces a trickle. Car i...

Re: Rover 12 tourer ~58 (the green one)
The modern adaptor was too long....There was not enough "give" in the now very short rubber hose sections to be able to bend them over the pipe from the Read ? thermostat. Drat ! I WILL find away. I did 250 miles ibn last weeks sunshine ad it was a delight. She uses about a pint of SAE 30 per hundre...

Re: P2 14 questions
Fiennes do them for Bentleys & prices are accordingly eyewatering! These fittings are used on machine tools and are much less expensive, but need to have threads modified as suggested. I don't know how significant the "sizes" are...Rover, being engineers no doubt wanted it absolutely correctly meter...

Rover 12 tourer ~58 (the green one)
This car continues to amaze, Starts on the button in the coldest weather and reveal strange modifications! There was a what appeared to be a 1" dia bulb sticking out of a nicely made hole in the dash, Grovelling around through the access hatch I found it was about 4" long with a couple of shielded c...

12hp Tourer #110 (the blue one)
Well the new electronic regulator seems to have restored charge to the battery! Easy to fit & uses my old cover, so looks right. I took the opportunity to restore the fuses to more realistic levels (NOT 50 amps on everything!) I'll give it a good run next week to see if my coil overheating/condenser...

Re: Engine Mounting replacement 12 tourer
I think we did it by lifting the engine on the sump ( suitably loadspread) certainly no wings or wheels were touched. The guide on the crossmember is a **d to adjust . The handle on my other tourer also doesn’t line up so I may have to change the mounting on that next
