Hand tools P2 etc
There is quite a lot of information on this site, but I have a basic question. In the tool list in the workshop manual there are spanners 3/16x1/4 (2705): 5/16x 7/16 (2706) (both open end) and 3/8 single end (2712). There is also a mysterious box spanner (52485) size unspecified! as well a a plug sp...

Re: Translation issues
For what it is worth,my google chrome translates Luli fromHebrew(not Arabic ) into English
The translation is a bit eccentric, but you can get the general sense!

See my reply. Please let me know if I can help…I have a friend in Osnabrück with a TR4A who’s been rebuilding an XK120 coupe and has become very familiar with the local TUV…….

Re: P4 . 75 . 1958 & Twelve P2 Tourer 1948
Welcome to the club! My experience in Germany a couple of years ago in June/July with my 12 tourer (#110) was very good…apart from two flat tyres, which was really my fault (long story involving old inner tubes). I cruised happily at a genuine 60mph on the Autobahnen with a bit of speed in hand. Of ...

Re: P2 tourer at Brightwells
Thanks for the supportive comments! I cut the ply door panels today and stripped the old material from what was left of the originals (with the number 58 pencilled on them!) I don’t think much fabric will be saveable, it is a complex lay up to make the design of the door card an it is very fragile. ...

Re: P2 tourer at Brightwells
Latest update! It is amazing what skill (not mine) can achieve. Both doors now fit and shut perfectly. The driver's door frame needed a lot of work including re-making a complete corner frame, but it is done. Very satisfying. Next "to do" is to get some life into the fuel tank sender unit...Good new...

Re: P2 tourer at Brightwells
Now with fresh SAE30 and a clean strainer I have done about 20 miles.Initially not willing to run on all four, but it cleared and is going pretty well. Tyres are very hard and white lines on the road are quite scary! This was the same on the other tourer. New tyres transformed it. Brakes are fine, c...

Quick update
Flushed the fuel system with fresh fuel and, as it is taxed & insured now, I took it round the block. Starts, stops & steers. All good news. I'll take it for a run over the weekend
